We were fortunate enough to catch up with Harris Briggs on his most recent trip to Montreal to discuss with him his musical upbringings, “Walmart Trance” and his current and future musical projects!
His agency biography:
“Harris Briggs (1988), the person behind the guise, greeted the dance music scene from Lubbock, Texas with his debut single ‘Hide Away’ released on Armada’s S107 Recordings label in early 2009. This song received plays from the top DJs in the scene, including Above & Beyond, Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, and Armin van Buuren to name a few. In late 2009, Above & Beyond made their own personal edit, and it has become a favorite during their recent gigs. Being featured on ‘Trance Around the World’ a total of 8 times throughout 2009 and even into 2010, ‘Hide Away’ became the one of the most played tracks in the radio show’s history. 2010 already sees a bright future for Harris’s rather special sound, including remixes for Jaren, Michael Badal, and a brand new single featuring the very talented Jonathan Mendelsohn.”
