March 2012 – This month, I’ve decided to have a little theme on the show: it’s Dave Nadz & LeBlanc month! Dave Nadz and Alex LeBlanc are DJs, producers and dear friends! You may have heard they first production, Distractions, on the 3-year anniversary of Mosaic last June; they also have a few upcoming originals and remixes in the pipeline, one of which you will here today.

Dave is a resident at the world-famous Circus Afterhours here in Montreal and has a show on AH.fm, Moments of Trance. He will be on guest mix duties this time, with a blend of his signature uplifting trance.

In two weeks time, LeBlanc will be the guest on the show!

January 2012 – We started off the year with a high bpm episode last time, with tech trance and an awesome drum & bass guest mix by pky, so we’ll take things down to a more progressive bpm range this time around. Fret not, the episode is just as good. In fact, we have a very awesome guest mix by a Montreal DJ, producer, label owner and A&R: Gabriel Batz.

MTS Favorites mixed by Ben Pageau

December 2011 – A month or so ago, Montreal Trance Scene asked its members to name their favorite trance tracks. Using the compiled list of tracks, sets would be mixed by selected local DJs, namely: Raneem, Tomac, Dave Nadz, and myself Ben Pageau. There would also be an International guest, Leon Bolier. And so, I picked from the list and present you my mix!

I want to thank you all for submitting these awesome suggestions. There were some excellent classic trance tracks in there and some very inspirational new ones. It was quite interesting and challenging to mix tracks I hadn’t selected myself. We were also told we could add 1-2 tracks of our choice, so I picked C.E.R.N – The Message and Electric Movement – Intruder. I also had to edit every single track to be able to fit about 2h of music into 1h.

Mosaic 072: End of 2011 Mix

So quite a few historically significant characters passed away this year; Judge Jules is no longer part of the BBC Radio 1 roster; Jurrane, Andy Blueman, Fabio Stein and Matt Hardwick have retired. 2011 has been an interesting year indeed!
